[OOC] Activity Check, Strikes, Hiatus and Application Cycles.

Activity Check.

The last day of the month, an AC post will go up in [community profile] labyrinthooc, prompting players to post their proofs of activity. The following are considered suitable proofs of activity:
  • 1 post in [community profile] labyrinthrpg by your character. You cannot use separate threads in the same post as separate proofs.
  • 1 comment thread in a different character's post in [community profile] labyrinthrpg , that has at least five comments from your character. Icon spam and reaction shots do not count towards the comment count.
  • As many smaller threads as necessary, amounting in total to at least ten comments by your character. This option is especially thought for people who have trouble getting threads to go on for more than a few comments, but that still tag around and make an effort to keep active.
  • 1 prose log with at least three tags from your character in [community profile] labyrinthlogs .
  • 1 action log with at least five tags from your character in [community profile] labyrinthlogs .
To pass AC and be allowed to app new characters in the upcoming app cycle, you must submit two activity proofs of your choice. (One post, one comment thread = pass. One comment thread, one prose log = pass. Two posts = pass. Two comment threads = pass. Etc.)

The Strike System.

If you do not pass AC - either because you don't respond to the post in [community profile] labyrinthooc , you don't have enough proofs or you didn't submit your hiatus ahead of time - you will be given a strike and will not be able to app a new character in the upcoming cycle.

Three strikes and you will be removed from the game. Additionally, strikes can only be removed by passing AC three times in a row. This means that if you get a strike in January, you will need to pass AC in February, March and April before the strike is removed from your record. You will be able to app a new character starting March cycle, however. Conversely, if you fail AC in January, pass in February, fail in March, pass April and fail in May, you will be removed from the game, as the strikes accumulated were never removed.

Passing three activity checks in a row via Hiatus partial or full exemption will result in a strike.

The strike system is in place to weed out character squatters and people who consistently get strikes and then barely pass AC the next month.

Hiatus.

If you will be gone from the game for longer than a week, it's recommended that you post to the Hiatus page, so that you will receive either a partial or a full exemption from AC.

A partial exemption is given to anyone taking two weeks or less off. They are required to provide only one proof of activity to pass AC. A partial exemption is not a pass and cannot be used to app a new character next app cycle.

A full exemption is given to anyone taking more than two weeks off. They do not need to provide any proof of activity and will still pass AC. A full exemption is not a pass and cannot be used to app a new character the next app cycle.

Players can go up to six weeks on hiatus, any longer and they will be removed from the game. Any longer hiatus requests will be granted on a case by case basis.

Application Cycles.

After the very first application cycle of characters, Applications and Reserves will remain open indefinitely. Players already in the game can app a new character at any moment, so long as they provide the required proofs of activity in their apps.
